2010 Project Implementation Winner

BMP Contest Winners

4100 Meadow Wood Drive was the home that won the project design and implementation.

The project is underway!

The first priority was to remove junipers which were a fire hazard then stabilize the steep slope to reduce stormwater runoff.

Removing junipers was very labor intensive!

Next, the slope was graded and covered with compost.

Erosion control was accomplished by using a combination of jute mesh over the slope followed by a vinca planting.

The slope stabilization is completed by adding rock.

Tanacetum (painted daisies) were planted and rocks placed adjacent to Combs Canyon Road to reduce runoff.
